Lleinauc, King of Elmet
(Born c.AD 460)
(Welsh: Lleinog; Latin: Lennocus; English: Leonock)

Lleinauc was the son of King Masguid Gloff of Greater Ebrauc. John Morris' suggestion that he was the founder of British Kingdom based around Lennox in Southern Scotland is quite unfounded as his son, Gwallawc Marchawc Trin, was definitely a king of Elmet (sometimes called Elfed) covering West Yorkshire. Lleinauc probably inherited this southern portion of his father's kingdom in early 6th century, becoming its first independent monarch.

Records of King Lleinauc date back to the 11th century. He could be historic.
