St. Feologild, Archbishop of Canterbury (Died AD 832) Feologild was Abbot of a Kentish Monastery and was elected to the Archbishopric in AD 832, but died on 30th August within three months of his consecration. He appears to have had a rival to the Archiepiscopate in the person of one Suithred. Edited from G.M. Bevan's "Portraits of the Archbishops of Canterbury" (1908).
