Gadeon, 'King' of Dumnonia
(Born c.AD 325)
(Welsh: Cadfan; Latin: Catamanus; English: Gideon)

Gadeon appears in the Dream of Macsen Wledig as brother of King Conan Meriadoc of Dumnonia & Brittany, though he actually seems to have been his son by St. Ursula, presumably born in Rome. Upon the death of his father, Gadeon would have inherited a position of some power and influence in the Civitas Dumnoniorum, his mother's apparent homeland, while his supposed half-brother, Gradlon, took on Armorica (Brittany). Gadeon could have held a position such as the decurion of Isca Dumnoniorum (modern Exeter), where he probably died around AD 405. His place in society was inherited by his son, Guoremor.

Records of King Gadeon date back to the 11th century. He is generally considered legendary.
