Erbin, King of Dumnonia
(Born c.AD 427)
(Welsh: Erbin; Latin: Urbanus; English: Urban)

He succeeded his father, Constantine, as Over-King of Dumnonia in the mid-5th century. He features in the Mabinogion stories as an aging monarch, harrassed by enemies from beyond his borders. He recalled his son from King Arthur's court to help re-impose Dumnonian power, and abdicated in his favour. He died c.480.

Records of King Erbin date back to the 10th century. He could well be historic.
