Arthur, King of Dyfed

(Latin: Artorius; English: Arthur)

Little is known of this early 7th century King. The son and heir of King Pedr ap Cyngar ap Vortepor, he was, no doubt, named after the great King Arthur of myth and legend. His traditional grave is probably the Bedd Arthur, an oval of twelve standing stones in the Preseli Hills, just east of Garn Bica. He was the grandfather of King Gwlyddien ap Nowy.

Records of King Arthwyr date back to the 11th century. He could be historic
